Middle McCloud Falls, California (2014)

I was amazed at how far the spray was flying, whipping off of the falls and sailing towards me every other minute as gusts of wind turned the river into a giant oscillating sprinkler system. At one point the wind managed to push the clouds apart enough to admit this terrific beam of light into the scene, and I was lucky to catch it between frantic wipes of my lens.
