I accidentally jumped into the car this day wearing only a pair of ill-fitting garden clogs and forgot to toss my hiking boots in the back as I normally do. I realized my predicament after being on the road for nearly an hour and then had to scrap my plan for shooting in an area where boots are not optional. It all worked out in the end when “Plan B” put me at the shore of this charming lake right as a storm was rolling in. I had just enough time to pull off a long exposure before the looming rain clouds unleashed a heavy shower.
