I am thrilled to be teaming up with the esteemed French photographer Alexandre Deschaumes in offering a unique workshop experience in the Dolomites of northern Italy.
This trip is designed for people with a spirit of adventure who want to experience and photograph some of the more remote locations of the Dolomites with two instructors who place a high value on creative expression. Our focus is on helping you to create outstanding photos that speak to your own experiences and interests. Whether you are just getting started in photography or are already a seasoned pro, we’ll put you in the right place at the right time and will provide you with whatever guidance you require to get unique shots of the Dolomites for your portfolio.
We will visit a variety of magnificent alpine locations in the Dolomites, complete with eight days of photography, seven nights of accommodation with full board, and transportation between locations. We will spend six of those nights in beautifully situated alpine huts that allow the experience of backpacking without the necessity to carry much more than your camera gear. The final night of the trip, we will stay in single-occupancy en suite rooms at the Hotel Grand Misurina, with spa facilities available. This will be a rare opportunity to get out of the valleys and into the mountains to photograph some of the most spectacular, craggy peaks anywhere in the world, along with the lakes, streams, wildflowers, and dramatic atmosphere that typically surrounds them. Participants will have the benefit of two instructors for location guidance, field technique, creative coaching, and a day of post-processing instruction in the comfort of a hotel conference room.
