Kairos
Italian Dolomites, 2017
Ancient Greek artists took great interest in the concept of opportunity, or “Kairos”. They even personified it in the form of a winged youth running on the tips of his toes while balancing a pair of scales on the edge of a razor. Opportunity, therefore, was not only difficult to catch but was something quite delicate. Landscape photography is always an attempt to seize Kairos, to grasp those combinations of timing and creative decisions that result in something special.
