I went to this area in search of “weather,” and got a lot more than I bargained for (as the saying goes…be careful what you ask for…you might get it!) The day I took this photo I could have counted the minutes of sunshine on my fingers and toes–and those minutes were not even consecutive. I had never been up to Alpe di Siusi before, so I did quite a bit of scampering around trying to figure out where I could get a clear view of Langkofel. I was lucky enough to find this vantage point before the clouds parted and made the scene come to life.
